JOIAS INESTIMÁVEIS SÃO ROUBADAS EM DRAMÁTICO ASSALTO AO MUSEU REAL

Ladrões na capital real de Fenn Aries invadiram uma das lendárias exposições fechadas da Coroa.
Essas salas luxuosas foram historicamente reservadas exclusivamente para o uso da aristocracia e da alta nobreza, e o acesso nunca foi concedido a pessoas fora desses círculos nobres. Pelo menos até hoje, já que a polícia local e peritos forenses foram vistos em praticamente todos os cantos do museu procurando por pistas.

As autoridades do museu disseram ter sido alertadas no meio da noite por relatos de vários invasores mascarados vistos rompendo a parede sul e empunhando armas de fogo.
Os invasores entraram no museu, subjugaram a Guarda Real e desativaram o sistema de segurança. Quando a milícia chegou ao local, os ladrões simplesmente haviam desaparecido.

Embora um registro oficial das joias perdidas não tenha sido divulgado publicamente,
entre os artefatos valiosos supostamente roubados está a renomada Coroa de Rubi de Orinda Aries — a joia da coroa inestimável cujo valor material empalidece diante de seu valor histórico. Se esses rumores forem verdadeiros, as evidências podem sugerir que o roubo teve motivação política.

AUTOR E EDITOR DETIDOS PELA GUARDA VERMELHA, INTERROGADOS

Caleb Manning e seu editor Phillip White estavam entre os três dezenas de nomes que apareceram em um dossiê vazado, que os indicava como “pessoas de interesse” no atentado de Trinsdale que matou quatro pessoas na última terça-feira.
Embora nenhum grupo tenha assumido oficialmente a responsabilidade pelo ataque, acredita-se amplamente entre as autoridades que foi obra do grupo insurgente RLCF, que também se autodenomina “Os Filhos da Água Negra”.

A Ruffington Press rapidamente se pronunciou para rejeitar os boatos em um comunicado divulgado na sexta-feira, afirmando que o popular autor [e o Sr. White] eram apenas “vítimas de uma infeliz coincidência”, seja lá o que isso signifique.
Essa não seria a primeira vez que a editora defende um funcionário problemático. Três anos atrás, um editor associado da empresa foi preso por conspiração criminosa, embora as acusações tenham sido posteriormente retiradas.

AUTORA DE “SWIM BIRD” NUNCA SE CONSIDEROU UM SUCESSO

“Foi o meu filho quem realmente me motivou a começar a escrever. Eu sempre me desafiei a nunca contar a ele a mesma história duas vezes na hora de dormir, e como acabamos ficando sem livros em casa, minha imaginação teve que assumir a partir daí.”

Marigold explicou em entrevistas anteriores que seu livro de estreia, “Red Prince” (Príncipe Vermelho), foi inspirado em seu filho e seu amor inflexível pela cor vermelha.
Uma afirmação vista com muito ceticismo por vários analistas, que interpretam o livro como uma crítica política velada ao partido monarquista e sua lealdade cega e inabalável à coroa.

MARIGOLD RECEBE HONRA LITERÁRIA DO HERALD

A popular autora de livros infantis, Marion Marigold, adiciona mais uma conquista ao seu histórico escolar ao descobrir, na quinta-feira, que seu livro ilustrado “Swim Bird” foi escolhido como o Livro Ilustrado do Ano pela Medalha Literária Herald.
Essa é a segunda vez que Marigold recebe essa prestigiosa honra — a medalha anterior foi, claro, por sua obra de estreia.

Ela já era conhecida do público mesmo antes de seu sucesso literário.
Sobrinha e parente viva mais próxima do Barão H. S. Sinclair, Mary começou a usar o nome artístico Marigold para se desvincular das associações políticas que poderiam ser feitas com a família Sinclair.

A subsequente rodada de negociações comerciais com ERAJA, conduzida com descuido e pouca diplomacia, terminou, para surpresa de ninguém, em um impasse. Relatos iniciais sugerem que, além de outras exigências, a Coroa solicitou que fosse revogado o asilo concedido à antiga Casa de Desilets.

PRINCESA DESILETS NASCE NO EXÍLIO

Nas quatro décadas desde o fim da guerra, poucas notícias chegaram à nossa redação sobre os antigos membros da realeza, cuja vida no exílio permaneceu uma silenciosa fonte de especulação e mistério. O príncipe Rolf, neto de DESILETS IV, rompeu esse silêncio na terça-feira, ao anunciar o nascimento de sua filha, a princesa Kaitlin Je Ari, que, de acordo com a tradição Erajana, recebeu os sobrenomes de sua mãe. REALEZA FOGE EM DERROTA

“Que vergonha, ó vocês, covardes de capa emprestada — na nossa hora mais difícil, nos agarramos a vocês, e na (hora) de vocês, fugiram!”

Em seu primeiro discurso público desde o fim da guerra, o líder vitorioso do exército Fenn, General Teskin, não demonstrou muita simpatia por seus inimigos derrotados. A partida da família real não foi inesperada, pois rumores de seus planos de fugir para o reino vizinho de Eraja já circulavam antes mesmo do fim da guerra. No entanto, a súbita partida deixou muitos de seus apoiadores com sentimento de abandono.

“É uma desgraça, uma traição ao povo que juraram proteger. Fugiram para terras estrangeiras, buscando conforto e refúgio enquanto seu povo sofre e luta para reconstruir. Esse não é o tipo de liderança que precisamos. Precisamos de líderes que permaneçam conosco nos momentos de adversidade, que não nos abandonem quando estamos com medo e em nosso momento mais vulnerável.”

Mary Matthew Jones, the author and illustrator whose fanciful stories are written under the pen name Marion Marigold, was last seen by a close friend around 3:45pm Friday getting into a carriage after a late luncheon date at the Hundred Bells Tea Room in Trinsdale. Mrs. Jones never arrived home and the carriage driver cannot be located. Family and local authorities are very concerned but have not deemed the case foul play. “It’s an out-of-character incident at this point and we are seeking informatio[n]”

SEPTEMBER 2 – REDDINGTON HERALD
PRICELESS JEWELS STOLEN IN DRAMATIC ROYAL MUSEUM HEIST

Thieves in the royal capital of Fenn Aries have broken into one of the Crown’s fabled closed exhibits.
These lavish rooms have historically been reserved exclusively for the use of the aristocracy and high peerage, and access has never been granted to those outside noble circles. At least not until today, as local police and forensic experts have been spotted in virtually every corner of the Museum grounds dredging for clues.

The museum authorities said they were alerted in the middle of night by reports of several masked intruders seen breaching the south wall and brandishing firearms.
The intruders broke into the museum, subdued the Royal Guard and disabled the security system. By the time the militia arrived on the scene, the burglars had simply vanished.

Although an official registry of the lost jewels has not been publicly announced,
among the treasured artifacts rumored to be stolen is the renowned Ruby Crown of Orinda Aries, the priceless crown jewel whose material worth pales in comparison to the historic value. If these rumors are true, the evidence may suggest that the theft was politically motivated.

MARIGOLD DROPS PUBLISHER

Local author and popular personality, Marion Marigold has announced a split with her long term publishing partner, Ruffington Press, citing personal reasons. The announcement came after the arrest last week of fellow author and colleague, Caleb Manning, whom Marigold has past referred to as her mentor, friend and confidant.

Marigold is the third prominent writer to distance themselves from the Publisher this week.

PUBLISHER & AUTHOR DETAINED BY RED GUARD, QUESTIONED

Caleb Manning and his publisher Phillip White were two of three dozen names that appeared on a leaked dossier naming them a “person of interest” in the Trinsdale bombing that killed four people last Tuesday.
Although no group has come forth to officially take responsibility of the attack, it is widely believed by authorities to be the work of the insurgent group RLCF, who also call themselves “The Children of Black Water”.

Ruffington Press was quick to dismiss the rumors in a statement released on Friday, maintaining that the popular author [and Mr. White] were simply “victims of an unfortunate happenstance”, whatever that means.
This would not be the first time that the Publishing House has defended a rogue employee. Three years ago, an associate editor with the company was arrested for criminal conspiracy, though the charges were later dropped.

“SWIM BIRD” AUTHOR NEVER CONSIDERED HERSELF SUCCESS

“My son was the one that actually got me to start writing. I had always challenged myself to never tell him the same story twice at bedtime, and so as we ran out of books we owned, my imagination had to take over from there.”

Marigold has elaborated in previous interviews that her debut book “Red Prince” is based on her son and his inflexible love of the color red.
A statement that has been held with much skepticism by the many pundits that viewed that book as a rather thinly veiled political critique of the royalist party and their unwavering blind loyalty to the throne.

Popular children’s writer Marion Marigold adds yet another feather to her scholastic cap when she discovered on Thursday that her picture book “Swim Bird” had been chosen as the Herald Literary Medal illustrated book of the year.
This is Marigold’s second time winning this prestigious honor, the previous medal was of course for her debut effort,

She was no stranger to the public eye even before her literary success. The niece and closest living relation of Baron H. S. Sinclair, Mary began using Marigold as a pen name to free her from the political associations that one might make with the Sinclair Family.

The crown’s recent decision to dismantle the realm’s remaining railways has caused increasing tensions with our southern neighbor, ERAJA, who has, for many generations, relied on our realm’s rail tracks for northern passage to ARCH ARIES.

The ensuing round of trade negotiations with ERAJA, which were conducted with reckless care and little diplomacy, have, to the surprise of no one, ended in an impasse. Early reports have alluded that in addition to their other demands, the Crown has requested that the asylum granted to the former House of Desilets, be revoked.

In the four decades since the end of the war, little news has reached our newsdesk regarding the former royals, whose life in exile has remained a quiet source of speculation and mystery. Prince Rolf, the grandson of DESILETS IV, broke that silence on Tuesday, when he announced the birth of his daughter, the princess Kaitlin Je Ari, who, in keeping with Erajan tradition, was endowed with her mother’s surnames. PEACE! TERMS OF SURRENDER HAVE BEEN ACCEPTED

The red flags flying over the capitol was a bittersweet sight of comfort for many of this realm’s war-weary citizens. After twenty-two years, peace had come at last. We, the staff of Reddington Herald, join all of the citizens of Reddington in welcoming this new era of peace, and formally retract and disavow all prior printed support of House Desilets.

ROYALS FLEE IN DEFEAT

“For shame, oh you cowardly coattails, in our most trying hour we clung and in yours, you ran.”
In his first public address since the end of the war, the victorious leader of the Fenn army, General Teskin, did not express much sympathy for his fallen enemy. The royal family’s departure was not unexpected, as rumors of their plans to flee to the neighboring realm of Eraja had been circulating even before war’s end. However, the suddenness of their departure has left many of their supporters feeling abandoned.

“It is a disgrace, a betrayal of the people they swore to protect. They have fled to foreign lands, seeking comfort and refuge while their people suffer and struggle to rebuild. This is not the kind of leadership we need. We need leaders who will stand with us in times of adversity, who will not abandon us when we are afraid and at our most vulnerable.”
